D is for Driven…

I really had to think about what word best described our homeschool for the letter D. After discussing this with my husband, I settled on the word Driven. So D is for Driven…

Driven describes our homeschool because we are driven toward excellence. We are driven to meet a higher standard than the public schools. We are continually raising the bar of expectation in our school. We work toward excellence. We are driven to meet the needs of our son.

Sometimes I am sure that Chandler thinks my expectations are too high. But I know that someday he will thank me for demanding that he do his best. This will be invaluable to him later in his life. And he will know that he alone will drive his way to success through his diligent efforts.

Speaking oi driving things and being driven…I just grew a few more gray hairs at the thought of my boy driving a car next year. Yes, he will be driving a real car. He will be taking Drivers Ed next Summer. Guess I had better stick him out on the lawn tractor this year to get some sort of practice in first…I would rather him practice driving the tractor than working toward driving me crazy.
