Goodbye and Hello

Quiet Pandemonium

This is my final post on Garden of Learning.  I have started a new website and you will find me posting there.  It’s been fun being here, but I found myself needing something that would fit ME a bit better.  I only have 2 more formal years of homeschooling and then we are done in our home.  Does that mean I won’t post about homeschooling ever again?  NO.  You’ll see me post about it on my new website.  In fact, I’ve transferred all of my content from HERE to the new site.  You’ll feel right at home in no time.

What will be different, is that I will be posting more regularly and will be covering some new aspects in my world.  I think you’ll probably get to know me a bit better.  I’ll still host my annual gratitude challenge.  I’ll still post about homeschooling.  I’ll be improving my recipe posts by doing them over and having  a picture for each one and on a lot of them, step by step pictures.  I’ll be posting inspirational things each week.  I will be posting about natural health, especially essential oils.  And I’ll be posting about what it is like to live in a writers world.  You’ll hear more about the projects I undertake and about the books I release and the books I edit and publish for my husband and now my son.

If you want to stay with me in my new journey, you’ll want to be sure to go to my new site and subscribe to my RSS feed or sign up for email updates.  I hope you enjoy the transition and like what I have in store for you.  Are you ready?  Just click on the button below to be taken to my NEW site!

Around the House…

Just Between Us

I’ve been absent a bit as of late, and I thought I should catch you up on what has been going on in my little part of the world…

First of all, I have been working on designing my new blog, that will replace this one in July.  I have a new URL and I am pretty excited about things.  I decided that with only two more years of homeschooling in my future, I needed something that fit me and would grow with me in the future.  I’ll still blog about homeschooling, but I will also venture into some of my other interests a bit more.  I hope you will enjoy it and like what I have in store.

Next, I’ve been dealing with a lupus flare for quite awhile.  It’s been exhausting, but I am hoping I am seeing the end of this one.  I really am hoping to get this whipped back into remission.  It is just better all the way around when I am not dealing with an active illness.  We all like me better.

Currently, I am working on completing two non-fiction books that I will be publishing for the Kindle.  I am hoping to have these done by the end of this month.  I’ve also been outlining a new fiction novel that I will publish under my own name, and a fiction novel that will be published under a pen name.  This is an area I will talk about more on my new blog.

Today, I am actually in the middle of making cinnamon rolls.  It’s 90 degrees outside, and I am making cinnamon rolls.  It’s a true act of love.  They are for my Dad for Father’s Day.  Yes, that was a couple of days ago, but he was gone visiting my brother then.  So now that he is back, I am making his present.  My Dad loves my cinnamon rolls.  I’ll blog about them sometime in the future.  I’ve been using the recipe by The Pioneer Woman, but I have made a couple of modifications and I like them better.  I’ll share my revised recipe on the new blog.  I need to find the cord for my PHD camera.  (That is push here dummy for those who don’t know.)  I am not able to take good pictures with our fancy camera, due to my eye problems.  But I seem to be able to on the PHD one.  I can’t find the cord to recharge the dumb thing.  It most likely is out in a box that I packed up when we started my remodel in my front room.  (Which still isn’t done by the way…)  Once I locate that cord, I will be back in the photo business and can do justice to recipe posts.  I’ll be doing a post for my french fries then as well, which I am also making for dinner today.

I think that catches us up.  If I’ve left anything out, ask me.  I’ll be happy to fill you in!
