2010 Gratitude Challenge-November 27
Posted by: | CommentsToday I am grateful for good ideas. I have been enjoying this gratitude challenge and was hating to see it end. It has just been so much fun. I know that there have been several of you who have felt the same way. So I began pondering what to do. I mentioned on Heidi’s blog that I was thinking of a December challenge and we tossed a couple of ideas back and forth. I was trying to narrow things down and figure out a name and such when Jennifer Unsell had a wonderful suggestion that was exactly what I was trying to figure out.
So I am happy to announce that starting December 1st, there will be another daily meme for us to do for the month of December. It is just as stress free as the Gratitude Challenge has been, which was my number one requirement. I really think you will love it! Oh, what is it you ask? I’m glad you asked, so I can tell you.
Our December meme will be called Holiday Bliss. To participate in this one, you can share favorite holiday recipes, crafts, traditions, things you do during the month, thoughts on Christmas or Hanukkah, pictures of your family during December, or just anything that has something to do with this blessed holiday season. Since we are going through the entire month of December, the meme should lead us right up to the new year. So don’t forget to include those holiday plans as well. I will host this meme again, so you can come here daily and link up on the linky tools. Oh, and before I forget, I have made a button for it. I hope you like it! I’ll make it available in the next day or so you can grab it from my sidebar.
So today, I am thankful for good ideas! Thanks so much for sharing them and helping to inspire me.
What are you thankful for today?
2010 Gratitude Challenge-November 26
Posted by: | CommentsToday I am grateful that funds are tight this month. I know that sounds crazy, but I am actually sitting here relieved that I am in no way tempted to spend money we don’t have for things we don’t need. I am glad to not be wondering if I should run out and try to face the crowds during all of the Black Friday sales.
I have in the past fought the crowds and stood in line in order to get the deals. This year, I won’t be there and I really don’t care. I will be spending my day putting up our Christmas tree and enjoying some family time with my boys. I might make a batch or two of playdough for the nursery kids on Sunday. I’ll enjoy some leftovers and maybe play some games or watch a movie or two. It sounds so heavenly and not so rushed and frantic.
Maybe I am just tired. I have been sick the past few days. But a peaceful day at home sounds wonderful to me. And for that I am thankful.
What are you thankful for today?
