About The 5 Money Personalities
The hidden key to a healthy relationship is not just managing money but understanding how the other approaches money.

Every couple argues about money. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been married for 40 years or dating for 4 months, money touches every decision you make as a couple—from the $5 cup of coffee to the $50,000 car. And when the two of you don’t see eye-to-eye on how much to spend or how much to save, that’s when arguments turn into ugly toxic fights that leave both persons feeling hurt and angry. It’s why money has become the #1 cause of divorce in the U.S. Obviously, something needs to change. The reason this crisis has not been addressed is because it has never been identified, defined, or given a name. Scott and Bethany Palmer, aka “The Money Couple,” have identified and defined this problem and offer concrete solutions to fix it.

Once you know your Money Personality, you can get to the root of money arguments and start really working together. You’ll discover what has an impact on your loved one’s money decisions, and you’ll learn how to talk about money in a way that’s actually fun! You’ll figure out how to put an end to money secrets and lies once and for all.

It’s not just about money management, and it’s definitely not just about overcoming debt. It is a whole new way of living that will change everything in your relationship. Tens of thousands have already been transformed. Are you ready?

Brenda Says:

This book explained a lot about my husband and myself and our personalities when it comes to money.  Honestly, we don’t usually disagree about money.  I’ve just always felt pretty fortunate about that fact, and sometimes have secretly wondered if something was wrong with us.  But after we both took the money personality profile on The Money Couple website, things became pretty clear to us.  It seems that we complement each other very well.  Each person has a primary and a secondary money personality.  In my case, I am a spender first, and a security seeker second.  My husband is a security seeker first, and a spender second.  No wonder we get along so well!  We balance each other out!  And thinking about it, we have been pretty fortunate that when one of us is in spending mode, the other is a little more reserved and thinking about  the bottom line.  It’s those times when we are both in the spending mode that we tend to get into trouble.  Thank goodness that doesn’t happen very often!

I found this book to be a great way to start out the new year.  I think it is important to understand the money language of your partner.  It can help things remain peaceful if you understand what is driving them to make the decisions that they do.  And even more importantly, you should understand you own money personality.  It really is important.  Once you understand yourself and your own tendencies, you can take the necessary steps to solidify your future.  I think this book would complement most any money management program very well and should be used in conjunction with the program of your choice.  It will help you understand why you do the things you do, and why your partner does they things they do.  It will create harmony in the home.
