2010 Gratitude Challenge-November 4

I am thrilled with how many of you are sharing so many wonderful blessings in your lives!  It really inspires me and helps me to reflect on all that God has given to me in my life.  We are all from different walks of life.  Some of us homeschool and others do not.  Yet each person has something wonderful to share.  I think that is so awesome!

Today, this might seem silly, but I am thankful for medicine–specifically Tylenol Arthritis, Ibuprofen, Sudafed, and Claritin.  You see, I am currently taking all of those and I am thankful they are there to help me breathe and not hurt quite so much today.  I think there is a front of some sort moving through and it is making me hurt all over.  So that is where the Tylenol and Ibuprofen come in.  The Sudafed and Claritin are for my allergies.  I stirred up a lot of dust this past weekend while cleaning out a garage.  It added to my already sensitive nose and sinuses.  But the meds are helping me breathe, and I think that is a good thing!  LOL!

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Medicine is so important. I’m glad that you have what you need.

  2. I know what you mean about the meds, hurting all over when a front comes through. Kinda funny, when one type comes through, my hubby hurts all over, when the other type comes through, I hurt all over…. :p And I am allergic to aspirin and ibuprofen…so I’m really limited as to what I can take! :p

  3. How funny. There are days I am thankful for Excedrin!!!!

I am having so much fun with this challenge and am thankful that you are sponsoring!!

Have a great day, pains and all.

  4. Brenda, I am so glad you issued this challenge. I have enjoyed reading others’ thankful thoughts. There are so many things we take for granted, (like being pain-free!) that I have been reminded of in just these 4 days.

  5. Brenda ~ I feel like people are peeking into my brain some days. My post today wasn’t specific for medication, but rather access to health care.

  6. I don’t think there is anything too “little” or too “silly” to be thankful for. I know that I’m being blessed not only by writing down things for myself, but also by reading the things that other people are thankful for. It’s made me think about how much I truly am blessed. I love it! Thank you, Brenda.

  7. Brenda,
I’m glad you have medicine that helps bring relief from the pain! Definitely not silly!

  8. Brenda, I am so sorry that you are not feeling well. I too, deal with seasonal allergies. I am currently battling back and neck pain. As I pray for healing in my own body I will remember you as well.

  9. Hope you are feeling better! I almost forgot to link up! LOL

  10. Brenda –

Oh, this is SO funny! I started a post being thankful for Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Until I got the phone call that I ended up posting about…

  11. Brenda,

I am so sorry to hear that you’re in pain and having trouble breathing. I’m praying for you Brenda. My husband and my daughter have allergies and we have to be careful because it can lead to an asthma like attack. (Allergy induced asthma I think is what the doctor calls it)

  12. For sure something to be thankful for! I can’t take ibuprophen any more. I had an allergic reaction. still not sure if it was the med or a dye in it.. but i can’t chance taking it. and there are days i wish i could. I told a sudafed 2 weeks ago and had an anaphalytic reaction. almost 911 time. So just telling you- you picked a good thing to be thankful for.

can still take tylanol. and i have other choice things i take from time to time LOL. All legal..some perscription.
